Product description

KERAFIX® Flexlit – a flexible fire protection product designed especially for use in the construction industry. KERAFIX® Flexlit is used to prevent the spread of fire and smoke in a huge number of applications, including fire-rated glazing systems, doors and windows. It comes in a thickness of 2 mm or 5 mm and becomes intumescent at roughly 350 °C, expanding to multiple times its original volume.

Application Areas

  • As winding material, e.g. for structural parts, tubes or cables
  • For fillings, openings and hollow spaces
  • As barrier against spreading of fire
  • As glazing tape, e.g. for EL 60 fire protection glazing

Properties

  • Intumescent
  • Halogen-free
  • Low weight
  • Has a wide range of uses
  • Easy to handle
