Butyl primary sealant PIB-1000 for insulating glass units

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

PIB-1000 is a thermoplastic butyl-based primary sealant designed for the production of insulating glass units (IGU).

The material is solvent-free and based on polyisobutylene, providing excellent adhesion after processing and forming a reliable moisture barrier within the glass unit structure. Due to its very low permeability to water vapour and gases such as argon, PIB-1000 ensures long-term durability and performance of insulating glass systems. The sealant is typically used as a primary sealing material in combination with secondary sealants such as polysulfide, silicone or polyurethane.
