DOWSIL™ R41 Cleaner Plus is suitable for preparing glass, metal profiles, plastics and other non-porous surfaces. Surface activation helps support adhesion build-up, especially where substrate surface quality or finish may vary. DOWSIL™ R41 Cleaner Plus is used in window, façade, structural glazing and other B2B applications where controlled preparation of non-porous surfaces is required before silicone sealing or bonding.

R40 or R41 -selection guide
Choose DOWSIL™ R40 Universal Cleaner when a ready-to-use universal cleaner is required for cleaning non-porous substrates before applying Dow sealants.
Choose DOWSIL™ R41 Cleaner Plus when cleaning and additional surface preparation are required in one step. R41 contains a special Dow catalyst substance that helps activate the surface and supports adhesion build-up with Dow silicone sealants.
Important note
DOWSIL™ R41 Cleaner Plus is not recommended for use in combination with other primers such as DOWSIL™ 1200 OS Primer or DOWSIL™ Primer-C. It is developed for applications where only cleaning is required; however, compared with a normal cleaner, it can help improve adhesion build-up during silicone curing. Suitability for the specific application should be evaluated before use, and the manufacturer’s TDS and SDS documentation should be followed.
