Chemetall Acesolve SI is a special solvent developed to remove silicone-based sealant residues from surfaces, rotating sealing tables, sealing machinery and parts of silicone mixing equipment.
The product is used in production and equipment maintenance processes where uncured silicone sealant residues or parts of silicone mixing equipment need to be cleaned. Acesolve SI evaporates very slowly, so solvent residues must be removed before the equipment is used.

Important to know
Acesolve SI has a strong solvent effect on plastics, paints and seals, so compatibility testing is recommended before large-scale use. Polyethylene, polypropylene and Teflon-based materials are indicated as resistant, while rubber, PVC, polyurethane and Viton may be attacked by Acesolve SI.
Uncured silicone sealant residues can be removed easily. The product can also be used to clean parts of sealant mixing machines, such as mixer tubes and guns. The cleaning result depends on the cure state of the silicone sealant; fully cured silicone deposits are not dissolved in any solvent – they only swell.
As Acesolve SI evaporates very slowly, solvent residues should be removed before use by compressed air or base purging. Before use, always review the SDS, product label and manufacturer’s recommendations.
