DOWSIL™ Construction Primer P – a one-part, film-forming adhesion promoter designed to improve adhesion of silicone sealants to porous, cementitious and metal surfaces.
The product is used on masonry, natural stone, concrete, glass fiber-reinforced concrete and properly prepared metal substrates, including PVDF / Kynar resin painted aluminium. DOWSIL™ Construction Primer P helps prepare substrates for silicone sealant applications where reliable adhesion and bond water resistance are important.
Important to know
Before use, always review the SDS, product label and manufacturer’s recommendations. Primer compatibility with the specific sealing system, substrate and sealant must be evaluated according to DOW recommendations.
DOWSIL™ Construction Primer P should not be used with DOWSIL™ 790 Silicone Building Sealant, DOWSIL™ Contractors Concrete Sealant or DOWSIL™ Parking Structure Sealants, unless a suitable application procedure and compatibility are confirmed.
