DOWSIL™ 3522 Cleaning Solvent Concentrated is a concentrated cleaning solvent for cleaning meter/mix and dispensing equipment used with two-component silicone sealants.
The product is used for solvent purging of meter/mix and dispensing equipment in insulating glass and structural glazing applications. DOWSIL™ 3522 helps digest cured silicone sealant residues in equipment hoses, mixers and other equipment components.

Important to know
DOWSIL™ 3522 Cleaning Solvent Concentrated can be continuously re-circulated in the equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of hoses and machine components. Cured sealant collected in the solvent recycling vessel should be removed regularly to help maintain the solvent’s effectiveness in the machine. The solvent can also be used to clean equipment and surfaces where silicone is being processed, but it is not suitable for fluorosilicones. Before use, equipment compatibility should be evaluated and the equipment manufacturer’s, SDS and product label recommendations should be followed.
Equipment compatibility
Equipment purged with DOWSIL™ 3522 should use PTFE-lined hoses and VITON seals. Polyamide-based materials, including nylon, must not be used in contact with the cleaning solvent. The product is corrosive; in case of doubt, consult the machine supplier or technical service representative.
