PS 1000 is a two-component polysulfide secondary sealant specifically developed for the production of insulating glass units (IGU).
Based on polysulfide polymer technology, the material provides very low permeability to water vapour and gases, ensuring long-term sealing performance and durability of the glass unit. The sealant forms a flexible and durable bond between glass panes and spacer systems, maintaining structural integrity under thermal and mechanical stress.
PS 1000 is designed to be used in combination with primary sealants such as polyisobutylene (butyl) and desiccants within the IGU system.

FUNCTION IN IGU SYSTEM
In insulating glass units, PS 1000 acts as a secondary sealant that provides structural strength and protects the primary seal.
The primary seal (butyl) ensures gas and moisture barrier, while the polysulfide sealant ensures durability, flexibility and long-term stability of the unit.
