A two-part high-strength silicone sealant for secondary sealing of insulating glass units.
DOWSIL™ 3363 is designed for use as a secondary seal in insulating glass units where higher design strength and economical joint sizes are required. It is suitable for gas-filled double and triple glazed units and demanding IG applications exposed to high wind loads, impact loads, cold-bent glass or other high-strength requirements.
The sealant provides outstanding adhesion to coated and reflective glass, aluminium and steel spacers, and a variety of plastics. DOWSIL™ 3363 offers low water absorption, fast non-corrosive cure, high modulus and resistance to ozone, UV radiation and temperatures from -50 °C to +150 °C.
Benefits
• Economical joint sizes in high strength IG applications
• High design strength (0.21 MPa) allowing joint size reduction up to 30%
• Low water absorption
• Excellent temperature stability
• Non-corrosive cure
• Fast curing time
• Excellent extrudability.

Note
Do not use for structural glazing of glass units onto a metal frame; Dow recommends DOWSIL™ 993 SG Sealant for that application. When using coated glass, contact Dow for proper glazing recommendations. Before use, adhesion and compatibility should be evaluated, and the manufacturer’s TDS and SDS documentation should be followed.
