A two-part neutral curing silicone sealant for structural glazing.
DOWSIL™ 993 is developed for structural bonding of glass, metal and other building components. It provides excellent unprimed adhesion to a wide range of building substrates, including coated, enamelled and reflective glass, anodised and polyester paint-coated aluminium and stainless steel.
Its odorless, non-corrosive cure delivers a high level of mechanical properties, resistance to ozone, UV radiation, heat, humidity and service temperature stability from -50 °C to +150 °C. DOWSIL™ 993 is CE marked according to ETAG002 as a structural glazing sealant component.

Storage and packaging
- Base: 250 kg drums and 20 l pails
- Curing Agent: 25 kg pails and 675 ml side-by-side cartridges
- Usable life: 14 months for base and curing agent at or below 30 °C
- Repair-kit cartridge: 9 months from filling date
- Colors: black, clear and gray shades; custom colors may be available on request
Note
Adhesion and compatibility testing must be carried out for all project components before use. Priming is not usually required, but project-specific primer recommendations may be provided by Dow technical services. Before use, the manufacturer’s TDS and SDS documentation should be followed.
