DOWSIL™ Primer-C is a solvent-based silane adhesion promoter designed to improve sealant adhesion to painted surfaces in curtain wall applications.
The product is used for accelerated adhesion of DOWSIL™ 983, DOWSIL™ 993 and DOWSIL™ 993N Structural Glazing Sealant to PVF2 / Kynar-based paints. The primer is nonstaining, moisture-curing and can help promote faster adhesion in low-temperature and low-humidity conditions.
Important to know
DOWSIL™ Primer-C is an extremely flammable product. Before use, always review the SDS, product label and manufacturer’s recommendations. The product may dissolve EPS insulation boards used in EIFS systems; excessive application on such substrates may affect substrate integrity. Expired primer turns milky white.
